Project Overview

Mínima is a unique mobile application designed to connect vendors and clients seeking services in planning their special occasion events (e.g. wedding, birthday, corporate events). Mínima simplifies the difficulties of locating resources in the market through implementing filter options based on price point, date availability, location, reviews, and ratings. The platform helps users, both vendors and clients, easily find, manage and communicate with one another.

Fashion Designer at Lola Weins
27 years old

Teresa works downtown as a fashion designer 7 days a week. She is newly engaged to her fiancée Leon who travels for work on a weekly basis. Due to her busy schedule, she does all their necessary shopping online, but finds herself making a lot of impulsive purchases with no time to make any returns on items she regrets buying. Her wedding date is in 8 months and she is struggling to book and plan all her vendors, while also balancing the down time she has with her fiancée when is back in town.

Reed Jimenez
Wedding Photographer at L&A Studios
32 years old

Reed recently started his new business L&A Studios as a wedding and event photographer. He pays Facebook a premium to advertise his wedding services but has not received many leads from this avenue but rather the majority of leads are from family and friends’ referrals. Reed finds it difficult to manage all the messages he receives from different communication lines (e.g. email, text, calls, social media accounts) and is seeking a way to streamline the administrative processes of client management.

1) Explore.

After creating an account and logging into the application, you will directed to the Explore page. Here you will find different categories of vendors to explore through as you begin your journey in finding the perfect vendor for your special occasion.

2) Filter.

Everyone has different needs and styles for their big wedding day and special occasions. The Filter feature provides you with the ability to choose specific criteria based on price range, location, date, and style (optional) of your occasion.

3) Review.

Each vendor listing will showcase a description of their business, a list of reviews from their previous clients, and overall rating. You can rest assured that the reviews will help you gain trust in the service you decide to book for.

4) Book.

Now you’re ready to book! Place a reservation request to your chosen vendor regarding time, location and details of your event and wait 24-48 hours for your vendor to respond! Once they have responded, your listing will be confirmed under the Booked page.
